For the past 11 years a British archaeologist and documentary maker who set up the company after falling in love with Turkey after trekking there has been leading and organising exceptional archaeological tours and gulet cruises in Turkey, escorted by the finest experts.
A UK-based specialist travel operator, we provide a select number of vacations and holidays in Turkey - primarily gulet cruises - with a professional and above all personal touch. On our scheduled archaeological tours, we take only small groups (max 16 on land, 14 by sea) of like-minded people, travelling in an easy-going, friendly, and informal style.
Archaeological Tours
Below is our entire schedule of escorted land tours and gulet cruises. A number of our 2008 escorted archaeological tours in Turkey are already fully booked, so we recommend booking your places early!
By popular demand we are running our Alexander the Great land tour once again this spring, so not only can you experience an epic archaeological adventure but a breathtaking display of wildflowers as well. All the other scheduled tours are historical gulet cruises, of either 1 or 2 weeks duration.
Tour Guides
We have some fabulous guides leading archaeological tours for us this year. Dr. Michael Metcalfe has received rapturous praise on gulet cruises he has led for us previously. Alongside him are another two star turns, Dr. Jennifer Tobin, Professor of Classics at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and Dr. Nigel Spivey, a Fellow of Emmanuel College, Cambridge University.
